Responsible for the inspection, operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and components to include, split, window, package and whole facility units, chillers and freezers installed in various types of facilities for operations in accordance with the work orders issued.
Job Responsibilities
· Installation and Repair: Install, inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and related equipment.
· Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, identify the root cause of problems, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
· Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, lubricating components, checking electrical connections, and inspecting system performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
· System Testing: Test HVAC systems for proper functioning, efficiency, and safety standards using specialized tools and equipment.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines while performing HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules, repairs, parts used, and any other relevant information.
· Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, address their concerns, provide guidance on HVAC system usage and maintenance, and offer recommendations for system upgrades or improvements.
· Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and team members to coordinate work assignments, share knowledge and expertise, and ensure efficient service delivery.
· Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of refrigerants, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
· Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to HVAC systems through training and professional development opportunities.
· Work will be mainly outdoors with office space provided. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.
