The chosen candidate is responsible for cleaning, washing, and preparing duties required in the kitchen. He/she ensures that the kitchen is always clean, hygienic, and operational.
· Assist the cook with ingredients preparation which include washing, peeling, cutting and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat
· Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
· Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes
· Assisting with unloading of delivered food supplies
· Organizing and correctly storing food supplies
· Checking food expiry and rotating food stock
In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within the company, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.
The work environment will require a candidate who has the following physical capabilities:
· Ability to stand for long work hours
· Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly
