Senior Accountant Job In Qatar

 Job Title: Senior Accountant

Prefer Equipment rental Field

To undertake all accounting operations in the organization. Overall responsibility of the accounting operation, system and procedures for all different account activities in the company.

To ensure accurate and regular entries of accounting operations in order to continuously reflect an up to date image of the actual financial status of the organization. To produce quarterly profit and loss, balance sheets and income tax statements as required by the Management and / or the Qatar Government.

Duties and Responsibilities

− Prepares the daily entries and Journal Vouchers.

− Issues the invoices based on work orders

− Checks and reviews the suppliers’ invoices.

− Checks the bank accounts daily and presents the bank reconciliation statement monthly to the management after checking the appropriate interest rates.

− Prepares the trial balance, profit and loss statement and the balance sheet, monthly.

− Issues a monthly statement for cost centers after checking details.

− Follows up fixed assets status every three months by stock count and controls moving the equipment from and to the central lab., through entries to be posted to the cost center.

− Issues monthly statements, balance sheet, profit and loss and a trial balance to be checked by the auditors.

− Follows up the clients and supplier accounts and collect their dues as per mutual agreements.

− Prepares a general statement for suppliers’ payments on the end of the month so that cheques can be issued at the end of the month.

− Checks the attendance sheets before issuing the salaries statement.

− Checks the petty cash every day and compares the real balance with the book balance of the cashiers.

− Coordinates with Internal / External auditors on legal aspects of QGEC books and proper implementation of locally recognized accounting procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor or Master degree (Bcom/Mcom) in accounting or equivalent degree with a minimum of 10-15 years related experience in auditing with equipment rental company (EY, Deliotte and PWC) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
