Staff Scientist - Assistant Level
The Staff Scientist - Assistant Level (Bioinformatics) supports research within the specific areas of research programs and performs a variety of procedures using established methods and techniques. The incumbent conducts moderately complex experiments, critically evaluates scientific literature and findings, performs experiments and interprets data. MCH is seeking an exceptional computational biologist with expertise in developing, and implementing tools for analyzing and integrating genomic, metagenomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of post-doc experience with strong analytical skills, a background in computational biology demonstrated by publication records. The candidate is expected to support three PIs within the department, with various expertise including Microbiome and Biomarkers Discovery, Precision Nutrition, and Reproductive Biology & Medicine.
Manager - Facility Safety
The primary mission of the Manager - Facility Safety is to protect life and property through the implementation of the building's safety plan including the management of the Fire Command Station and the supervision of the fire response team, floor wardens, and deputy floor wardens and building evacuation supervisors. The incumbent ensures a safe environment for employees, visitors, and patients in accordance with all government regulations and Sidra’s policies and procedures. He/She reacts in all emergencies with the authority of the Facilities Executive Director and Chief of Corporate Services. The post-holder manages general safety, hazardous safety, and Life Safety section. He/she leads, directs and motivates the Team Members in his assigned chain of command. One of the main responsibilities for the Manager Facility Safety is to prepare the hospital for a wide variety of emergencies and to ensure Joint Commission International ‘Facility Safety’ compliance by conforming to Joint Commission compliance as it pertains to the Environment of Care and Life Safety. The incumbent in this position also ensures that Facility business continuity plans are in place that will allow the hospital to function in the event of any emergency.
